Why WhatsApp Links Get Long
The message is written inside the link, so a long message makes a long link. A link with only your number, like wa.me/919876543210, is already short. Keep the message to one line if you want a shorter link.
WhatsApp’s official short link looks like wa.me/message/ followed by a code, and it comes from the WhatsApp Business app, with its own QR code and a message you can change later. The steps are at the end of this page. Third-party URL shorteners also work, but they hide where the link goes, which some customers don’t trust.
