FSSAI Basic Registration for Small Food Businesses
FSSAI registration (also called Basic registration) is the simplest FSSAI approval, meant for small food businesses. The government fee is ₹100 a year, and you can pay for up to 5 years at once. It is applied for online on FoSCoS with an ID proof, photo, address proof and the list of food items you will sell.
You get a 14-digit FSSAI registration number, usually in about 7 days. Print it on your labels and give it to the marketplace. If your business grows past the Basic limit, you move to a State licence.
