Documents Required to Sell on Flipkart

Type your product and see what Flipkart asks for: GSTIN, brand approval and trademark, licences like FSSAI and BIS, and the label rules.

Documents Needed to Register on Flipkart

Flipkart needs a regular GSTIN for most categories. Only the Books category accepts a PAN in place of a GSTIN. You also need a bank account in the business’s name, and an email and phone number.

Sellers report that many items on Flipkart can’t go live without a trademark. To list under a brand you need brand approval, with a trademark certificate or application, or the brand owner’s authorisation letter.

Product-Wise Licences and Labels

Food needs FSSAI and packets with nutrition details and manufacturing and expiry dates. Items on the BIS compulsory list need a BIS licence. Type your product above to see what applies, with sources for every line, and which items Flipkart does not allow at all.
