Documents Required to Sell on Amazon India

Type your product and see what Amazon.in asks for: GST, brand or Generic listing, licences like FSSAI and BIS, and the label rules.

Documents Needed to Register on Amazon India

Amazon.in asks for your GST number and PAN when you register, along with a bank account, email and phone number. If you only sell tax-exempt products such as books, you can choose that option instead of giving a GST number.

You can list without a trademark as Generic, though Generic items may need a barcode or a barcode exemption. Listing your own brand needs brand approval, and Brand Registry needs a registered or applied-for trademark.

Product-Wise Licences and Labels

Some Amazon categories need more: FSSAI for food, a BIS licence for items on the compulsory list, and packet labels with maker or packer details, net quantity, month of manufacture and MRP. Type your product above to see what applies, with the source for every line.
