Free GST Calculator for India
This free GST calculator works out GST in two directions. If your price is GST exclusive, it adds GST on top: the GST amount is the price times the rate divided by 100, and the total is the price plus GST. If your price is GST inclusive, it takes the GST out: the actual amount is the price times 100 divided by 100 plus the rate, and the GST is the difference.
Enter the amount, choose the rate and say whether GST is included or extra. Pick “Within my state” to see the GST split equally into CGST and SGST, or “To another state” to see it as IGST. The calculator shows the formula with your numbers and a table of the same amount at every slab, so you can compare prices quickly before you set an MRP or quote a buyer.
GST Rates After GST 2.0
From 22 September 2025 most goods and services fall in three GST slabs: 5% for essentials, 18% as the standard rate and 40% for luxury and sin goods, with many basic items at 0%. The old 12% and 28% slabs were merged into these. Gold and silver stay at 3% and rough diamonds at 0.25%. If your product still has an older rate on an old bill, type it in “Other”. Always check the current rate for your HSN code.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remove GST from an inclusive price?
Divide the price by (100 + GST rate) and multiply by 100. ₹1,180 including 18% GST is ₹1,000 plus ₹180 GST.
When do I charge IGST instead of CGST and SGST?
IGST is charged when the seller and the place of supply are in different states; within the same state GST is split half CGST and half SGST.
What are the GST slabs now?
Under GST 2.0 (from 22 September 2025) the main slabs are 0%, 5%, 18% and 40%, with special rates of 3% for gold and silver and 0.25% for rough diamonds.
