Spotting Spam and Scam Emails by the Sender
Spam filters miss many scam emails, especially ones that copy a real company’s name and logo. The sender address is the quickest giveaway: a domain with an extra hyphen, a changed letter, a different ending or a free Gmail account instead of the company’s own domain.
This checker flags those lookalikes and adds signs from public records: a domain registered only days ago, no mail server, no SPF record or no DMARC protection. Several warnings together mean you should not click links, pay or share an OTP.
