CFT to KG Calculator

Convert CFT to kg the way transporters do: CFT × kg per CFT, with your own rate of 6, 8 or 10 kg.

How to Convert CFT to KG

CFT is a measure of space, not weight, so there is no fixed conversion. Transporters set their own rate of kilograms per cubic foot and charge for the bigger of this and the real weight. In India the common rate for road transport is 6 kg per CFT; express or smaller transporters may use 8 or 10 kg.

kg = CFT × kg per CFT. So 10 CFT is charged as 60 kg at 6 kg per CFT, 80 kg at 8 kg and 100 kg at 10 kg. If your goods actually weigh more than that, the actual weight is charged instead.

Convert Your Cartons from CFT to KG

You do not need to know the CFT first. Enter the carton sizes, in inches or cm, and how many cartons there are. The calculator finds the CFT, converts CFT to kg at the rate you choose, and shows the chargeable weight of the whole load rounded up to the next kg.
