Print Your Trademark Certificate on Full A4
When your trademark is registered, IP India gives you the Certificate of Registration (Form RG-2) as a PDF. Its pages are about 150 × 215 mm, smaller than A4, so the certificate prints small with wide white margins and the fine text is hard to read. Upload that PDF here and Original on A4 enlarges each page, the certificate and the annexure with your mark, to fill an A4 sheet. Nothing on the page is changed: the background, the seal and the Registrar’s signature stay exactly as issued, and the text stays sharp.
One page, filled is a single A4 page in the certificate’s own wording, Hindi and English, with the blanks the original leaves empty filled in: owner, class, number and dates. Your mark sits on the same page, with the renewal due date below it.
The page also shows the renewal due date. A trademark in India is registered for 10 years from the date of application, so the page works it out from the date on your certificate and you can see at a glance when to renew.
The certificate is read inside your browser. It is not uploaded, so your name and address stay on your phone or computer.
The One-Page Version Is a Display Copy
The one-page version is made for your shop, office wall or a file to show buyers and marketplaces. It copies the details from the official certificate exactly as they are, but not the national emblem, the Registry seal or the Registrar’s signature. A line at the bottom says it is a display copy and gives the trade mark number to check on the official IP India search.
Keep the PDF from IP India as your official certificate. When a marketplace brand registry, a court or a government office asks for the certificate, send that PDF, not this page.
Frequently asked questions
Which file do I upload?
The trademark certificate PDF (Form RG-2, Certificate of Registration of Trade Mark) that you download from IP India after your mark is registered.
Is my certificate uploaded?
No. The PDF is read on your device and the A4 page is made there too.
Does Original on A4 change my certificate?
No. Each page is copied as it is, with the background, seal and signature, and only made bigger to fit A4.
Can I use the one-page version as my certificate?
No. It is a display copy for printing and framing. The official certificate is the PDF issued by IP India.
Why does the one-page version have no seal or signature?
Putting the Registry seal or the Registrar’s signature on a new page would make it look like a certificate the Registry issued. Use Original on A4 when you want them.
How is the renewal date worked out?
Registration is for 10 years from the date of application, which is the date printed on your certificate. Renew before that date, or within the grace period IP India allows.
Is it free?
Yes, free with no sign-up.
